In the Beginning: Digital 101
An introductory course covering; shooting modes, histogram, metering, exposure compensation, aperture control (what’s an f-stop?), shutter control, viewfinder & live view. Many important tips on improving & simplifying your photos will be covered.
Visual Design 101:
Introduction to the world of visual design, covers balance, emphasis, colour, shape, line, pattern, texture, etc. Learning to see a photograph rather than simply take a picture. Understanding tonal range & our cameras’ ability to capture it will also be covered. A must for all who enjoy the visual world we live in…
Writing with Light:
We’ll explore in depth the importance of light in our images, covering: light quality, intensity, direction of light & how this affects the outcome of your photograph. When to shoot, when not to shoot & how our camera reads light. Artificial light & flash will also be covered & the advantages & disadvantages of using it. After all, Photography is ‘writing with light’
